omg look at that gif.. LOOK AT IT I LOVE IT.
(my dad got a new camera & is photographing my walls & me blogging)
Ok the point of this is I applied for the Paul Frank Art Attack scholarship contest thing
and worked my butt off on my submission piece that I'm pretty proud of! I learned this cool trick
from looking at the sketch books of Josh Keyes who would figure out how his pieces would
look by photographing toys! So I got some legos and:
bam! look how tiny and cute it is
(I wanted to keep it like that forever but then accidentally knocked into it..)
so working from that I figured out colors and how the little characters would work in it and
I don't really wanna go too into detail but this is for future reference if I ever get stuck on a piece.
so here's the finished work:

LOL THAT GIF HAHAHA.
ReplyDeleteTHAT BE ME IF I EVER TRIED THAT.
I really like the process you have to create your Paul frank submittion! you shoulda added the website on as well so other people could vote. Cept the only followers is just me and Ellie and Solei XD who knows maybe you have secret followers idk LOL. I like seeing the final piece though! I don't like that they shrink the image in the competition. your piece is the kind that rely on the subtle details because of its simplicity plus scale depth. if that makes sense >_>.
look at his feet! It's like he died, I can't stop staring at that gif.
ReplyDeletePrrfff you guys are the only ones who see my blog hahaha
I completely understand what you mean, I was pretty upset when I saw
how much the quality was lowered on the site's preview! But I'm hoping
that the judges see the original one I uploaded D:
ahh the contest ends soon..!
URRG I was angry that you didn't get in the top 10 |:I. Hopefully they judge based on age group and you can still ring in the top? Cause your really not dat old.
DeleteLOL I was kind of upset but ehh I figured I wouldn't get there, BUT!
Deleteon the rules it says about the voting that:
"The Paul Frank online community will vote on submissions to narrow to the top 10 in each age group on PaulFrank.com. Paul Frank design team may select additional finalists."
so I'm hoping that the last sentence will come to help me...
HAHAHA POOR FATMAN! lolololololol
ReplyDeleteAnd wow, so that's how you did it? That's a pretty cool process, actually. :o
he believed he could fly :,D
Deleteyerrp it's a really good idea that helps with figuring out how
to fit everything on the page ! the only hard part is finding the right toys..
